Wow! Time has flown by. My last post I was 25 weeks along and shared all my must-have pregnancy products. Before that was the Babymoon recap, and now I’m in my third trimester, my 8th month, in a new house (yay!) and trying to get this little girl’s nursery in order! A couple weeks ago I had my baby shower thrown by my aunt, my mother-in-law, and aunt (in-law). It was so beautiful! I had the best day surrounded by family and friends. We decorated onsies, bibs, and pants (all organic cotton, thank you auntie!). My baby and I got super spoiled with gifts and love. It was elephant-themed and grey, white, and light pink were the colors. Here are some pictures from the lovely day (which is the same place we got married!):
Here are some of the clothes my talented friends decorated:
The best cake ever (gluten free strawberry shortcake) where not a morsel was left:
As far as how I’m feeling and how the pregnancy is going, I thought I’d fill out the fun little preggo survey that I also did back at 20 weeks:
How far along? 32 weeks & 4 days
Total weight gain: about 15 pounds.
Maternity clothes? Not many. I posted about those awesome maternity jeans here but other than that I’ve found that buying a size up or just loose, flawy clothing works best! Elastic is so great–I’ve never quite appreciated it until now!
Stretch marks? Nope! I have been using this cream I posted about which is great.
Sleep: I still sleep pretty well, only I get up to go to the bathroom about 3 times a night, so that definitely makes a difference!
Best moment this week: Getting more done to the nursery (I will post on that once I’ve completed it!). It’s fun even though I’m getting it together sloowwwly.
Miss anything? Some days my pre-baby body (normal?! Am I allowed to say that?!) but other that that not really. I love this experience and feel so blessed to be pregnant. OK maybe more sushi 😉
Movement: Movement? Um…if you count punching, kicking, rolling around–this girl is active! I recently read about doing the “kick count” which I was informed how to keep track. It said after a meal, lay down/relax and count for about 10 movements in an hour. An HOUR?! This little girl kicks that many times a minute. So I definitely don’t worry about that 🙂
Food cravings: I feel like I’m kind of missing out on something! I hear all these stories about women craving crazy combinations that would never, ever sound appetizing unless you have pregnancy hormones going on, but I really haven’t had any of that. The closest I’ve come was one night a couple weeks ago I had to have seaweed salad. I keep seaweed stocked in my pantry, so I just made some at home and it was amazing. Actually, I went all out and made some vegan sushi too with black rice.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope! I was just thinking today how grateful I am for not tossing my cookies once this whole time. That was my only request to the man above. I can’t watch movies when people are getting sick, nothing. If I only get so lucky next time too! I did have a couple weeks in the first trimester where I could eat about 5 things and everything else sounded disgusting.
Gender: A girl! Miss Evelyn Rose. We will call her Evie 🙂
Labor signs: Nope. A few very mild Braxton-Hicks contractions, but it’s not painful, just feels like a little pressure (but not from the baby moving or anything).
Belly button in or out? In….but it’s just holding on. I do hope it continues to do so!
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy most of the time, but I can get moody. My husband see’s the worst of it! I’m sorry! I love you! I’ll be normal again soon!
Looking forward to: Meeting her!!! Watching her grow from a speck to a now 4 pound (and growing!) baby has been so incredible. (Read more about the process to conceive here.)
There’s been so much more happening between finishing our home remodel, moving in, and finishing school, but that’s all for now 🙂
